Refund Policy

Last updated July 2026

Draft, not yet in force. Crescendo is pre-launch and is not accepting live payments. This document is published so it can be reviewed and completed with qualified advice before any money is taken. It does not yet form a binding agreement.

When you are refunded in full

Your contribution, including the Crescendo service fee, is refunded in full when:

Withdrawing before the creator accepts

You may ask for a refund at any time before the creator accepts the request. Once the creator has accepted and started production, withdrawal is no longer automatic, because the creator has committed time and cost on the strength of the funding.

Deadline extensions

A request may be extended at most once, and only by an explicit recorded decision. Extensions are never silent: every backer is notified. If you do not want to accept an extension you can request a refund instead.

Changes to a request after backing

The material terms of a request — title, description, goal, contribution limits, sponsorship disclosure and completion requirements — are frozen the moment the first contribution is confirmed. They cannot be edited. If something genuinely must change, the request is cancelled, everyone is refunded, and a new request is created.

If a video is removed after approval

Payment is released on verified completion. If a creator deletes or hides an approved video afterwards, report it to support. Crescendo will investigate and may withhold future payouts, but a refund after payout is not automatic because the money has already left the platform.

Timing and failures

Refunds are started automatically as soon as the triggering event is recorded. Card refunds typically reach your account within five to ten working days, depending on your bank. If a refund fails it is placed in a monitored queue, a person is alerted, and it is retried. Contact support@backcrescendo.com if a refund has not arrived within ten working days.

Partial refunds

Partial refunds are not used during the beta. A contribution is either refunded in full or not refunded.
