What we collect
We collect only what the service needs to work:
- your email address and display name, to create an account;
- for creators: a handle, a public bio, and the URL of the social profile you are proving control of;
- contribution records: amount, request, status and timestamps;
- security metadata such as a hashed IP address and a browser user-agent string.
What we do not collect
We never see or store your full card details; those go directly to our payment provider. We do not collect biometric data and we do not perform face matching. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Verification media
Where a screen recording is used as a fallback proof of account control, it is stored in a private bucket that is not publicly readable, is accessible only to reviewers through short-lived signed links, carries a deletion date, and is deleted automatically by a retention job. The deletion is logged.
Who we share with
Our payment provider, for payments, payouts and identity checks. Our hosting and database providers, to run the service. Nobody else, unless we are legally required to.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Financial and audit records must be kept for as long as accounting and anti-fraud law requires, so deletion requests do not remove those. Write to privacy@backcrescendo.com.
Analytics
We record product events such as "a request was published" without attaching your email address, payment details, or verification content.
